Prayer Pager Ministry
The church is renewing our Prayer Pager Ministry. We have two pagers for
use, as one pager we had previously has been misplaced. If you should
know where this third pager is we would appreciate it being returned to
the church office. These pagers have a toll free number so anyone in the
US can page the recipient to let them know they are being prayed for.
The recording on each pager will instruct you at the end of the tone to
please enter the numbers 7-3-3 which is a code for "praying for you".
The numbers represent the number of letters in each word of the phrase,
"praying for you".
The pagers are set to vibrate rather than ring when a page is received
and when they see on screen the numbers 7-3-3 then they will know
someone has just prayed for them. People can call the "prayer pager" at
any time to remind someone that they are asking God to bless and help
them. The pagers are especially comforting to a person who is ill,
lonely, or troubled.
Testimonies from people in other churches who have this ministry say
what a blessing it has been to them to know that so many are praying for
them. Some say that they place the pager under their pillow and during
the night when they hear it they like knowing that someone is praying
for them.
The person in need of prayer does not have to get up to answer a phone
nor do they have to return any calls and yet they know they are being
prayed for.
Be sure to pray as often as possible for those who have these pagers and
then call their toll free pager number so they will know they have been
prayed for. Feel free to share these names and numbers with your friends
so that we can have a mighty power of prayer for these people in need.
