K. H. Booth was pastor from January 1902 to February 1903.

Rev. A. C. Hutson from Jefferson City, Tennessee served from May 1903 to September 1904.  A letter was written in December 1950 to Brother W. N. Woodward from Rev. Hutson stating that Drew Smith was the architect and J. L. Tiller was the main pillar in promoting the building of the church.  It was located on West Central Avenue (present site of the W. H. Parrott, Sr. Home). They moved into the new building on Easter Sunday, April 1904.  Rev. Hutson left Sept. 30, 1904 and entered Southern Seminary the next day in Louisville, Ky., where he graduated in 1908.

Rev. J. R. Chiles from Blackville, South Carolina was called in November 1904 and was pastor until the last of December 1905.  Rev. D. W. Lindsay, Coal Creek, Tenn. served as pastor from March 1906 until September 1908.

On June 10, 1906 the First Baptist Church was dedicated at 11:00 A.M.  Dr. W. C. Golden of Nashville who was head of Tennessee State Missions, preached the dedication sermon from II Chronicles 7:5.  There were 190 members.  It is interesting to note from the minutes that at this time the church frequently sought financial help on the pastor's salary from the State Missions Department.  For instance the church paid Rev. Hutson around $259.00 a year and received $200.00 from the State Missions for his salary.

Rev. F. Russell Walters was called as pastor in Nov. 1908 and served until Sept. 1909. (Rev. Walters was the uncle of Mrs. Walter Gross and Georgia Walters.)  Brother Walters' name appears frequently in the minutes.  he served as church clerk 1901 - 1902.  On December 20, 1902 the church voted to license him to preach and also recommended him to Carson-Newman College.  He was ordained as a minister by the First Baptist Church on April 5, 1905.

Rev. J. M. Newport served as pastor from October 1909 to March 1914.  In November 1909 there was an agreement with Cedar Hill Church to use the same pastor - First Baptist three-fourths of the time - Cedar Hill one-fourth time.  Pastor's salary $600.00 per year.  First Baptist to pay $450.00 - Cedar Hill to pay $150.00.
