When you.read this col-. uxnn, Mrs. Reynolds and I, along with John and Dixie will be attending the Southern Baptist Convention in Miami, Flori4a. I hope you will remember this meeting in your prayers. This is the time when our directior is set, as we look back upon the work of our 30,000 churches for the past year and look forward to the work in the years ahead. I hope you share with me the gratitude and thanksgiving for being a part in the great‘est evangelical movement since the New Testament era, Although we are strong numerically and financially we have retained our concern for the individual and his spiritual needs. Indeed the genius of our growth over the years is our appeal to and interest in the grass roots people. Wherever you see a Southern Baptist church you. see a people with warm heartsg steadfast faith and a heavy burden for the 1bt and unenlisted. May it ever be so. The major problem that faces the Convention this year seems to be the report of theCoxnmittee on changing our name, It appears their recommendations will be to retain otr present name as it is. You will watch with interest the proceeedings 9h tle
See you Sunday in church, Bible in hand.
