FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:
LET ME ALONE GOD
Recently I read something that caused me to stop and think, Perhaps this little ar tide will say something to you, too0
“Leaving the hotel room to attend church one Sunday mornings I passed door after door along the corridor on which a familiar little card had been hung over the doorknob0 The card bore a simple reques PLEASE DO NOT DISTRUBO
?rnerica was sleeping on Sunday morningr. It reminded me bf a prayer I read in a mag0 azine
Almighty od as 1 lie here on the sofa this lovely Sunday morning surrounded by the Sunday paperb and half listening to one of the big preachers over the radio2 it has iust come to me that I have lied to Thee and to myself. I said I did not feel well enough to go to church
That was not true0
I was not ambitious enough0
I would have gone to my office had it been Monday morning0
I would have played golf had it been Wednesday afternoon.
I would have attended my luncheon club had it been this noon.
I would have been able to go to a picture show if had been Friday night,
But it is Sunday mornig and Sunday ill= ness covers a multitude of sins00 00God have mercy on me0 . I have lied to Thee and myself 0 00I was not i1100001 am lazy and indifferent,
PLEASE DO NOT DISTRUB GOD”0
Horiany of us have this sign hanging over the door to our hearts?
The good Lord willing Ill be in Gods House Sunday0 What are your plans?
