Lifting up the LORD in LaFollette ____
Brother Clem says....
CAN THE LORD COUNT ON YOU TO BE RELIABLE?
In 1915 Leon Trotsky-noted leader of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution in Russia -
attended Sunday School with a friend.
TI-IE TEACHER DID NC)T ARRIVE TO TEACH hIS CLASS
that morning and, unfortunately, had not notified anyone of his intention to be
absent. Trotsky ialkedây fromihát Sunday 5hdTdass and as far as is known, never
attended another one. Two years later, he was intensely engaged in the Russian
Revolution which brought the Communist regime to power.
ONE CANNOT HELP I3UT WONDER. - - -
what effect that Sunday School teacher might have had on the world events had he
fulfilled his responsibility by being present and teaching his class the Sunday
Trotsky visited.
JOSEPH STALIN. WHO CAUSED SO MANY MILLIONS or PEOPLE TO DIE...
was sent to study to be a priest in the Russian Church. It had become so worldly
and corrupt that he rebelled and turned to communism as a way of life.
MANATI’4A QIIANDI WHO INAS THE LEAI)E.R OP MILLIONS IN INI)LA....
studied Christianity when in England, but rejected it because Christians didn’t
live up to the teaching of Jesus.
1-IERE IN AMERICA. A YOUNG CHINESE STUDIED
for four years and was graduated from one of our colleges. The thurthes did not
invite him to attei4 and riiñy pióple ridiculed Tim. He went back to China bitt
äáfriIt
minister of Communist China.
TWO TEENAGERS GREW U? IN TEXAS. - .
Both were rough and troublesome. A faithful Sunday School teacher contacted one
of them every week for a year. Another teacher felt they did not need that type
of boy in his class. The first tad was saved and was the Florida Baptist
Secretary of Evangelism. The other assassinated President Kennedy.
CAN THE LC)RI) CC)I_JNT ON YOU THIS WEEK.
to help “make the difference” by visiting people who need Jesus and inviting
them to attend our Sunday Schooll
CAN THE LORfl COUNT ON
YOU TO BE REM ABLE??
